Now in our 35th season, Golden Tones chorus is a group of about 60 retired (but young-at-heart) people who love to sing and dance. We present fun shows with singing, dancing and humor and take these shows where they are most needed in the community, particularly to senior citizen residences. We also perform in schools, faith communities, and at public events – almost 50 concerts a year (pre-pandemic), reaching more than 2,000 people.
While we’re at it, we socialize together and care for one another. Singing together creates a community, as we support one another to keep learning, and encourage each other to stay active, healthy and creative.
With the encouragement of our dedicated executive director (musical and managing) and the expertise of our professional accompanists, we sing popular classics, folk and traditional songs, and show tunes from all eras, changing the program regularly to challenge ourselves to learn new songs and remember familiar ones.

Our official mission statement reads: “The mission of Golden Tones chorus is to practice and provide enriching entertainment for senior citizen facilities, schools, faith communities and public events. Members are people of retirement age who sing and dance to lift spirits, have fun, and promote health and social engagement to benefit our audiences and ourselves.”
